I have so enjoyed getting to know your children. We are learning so much with each other on a daily basis. I want to extend this learning into the digital realm. The audio-clip you are about to listen to is our first podcast together. In class, we sat and talked about what we’re thankful for and why. We made lists of the things we’re thankful for in our notebooks. Then I recorded the class talking about what they’re thankful for and why. Publishing it onto this website is what podcasting is all about. Sharing ideas with others and giving them a chance to respond to what they’ve heard.

I invite you to not only listen to this podcast but to respond. Write to your child and let her know what you thought of the podcast. Ask them a question. Celebrate the wonderful moment of learning that this podcast has captured. Your participation in this podcast makes it interactive, it shows the children that there others who are interested in what they have to say. It motivates them to read, write and think!!
